I love a good rumor!
Have you heard any good PPP rumors lately? I bet you have since PPP has been teasing us about a big announcement - coming soon! Will it increase site traffic? Of course it will, that’s the name of the game for posties and advertisers alike, isn’t it? Without site traffic, we’d all be stuck with dumb text ads and ridiculous banners cluttering up our sidebars!
The question is, WHAT will the announcement be? Honestly, I have no idea!
Have Scoble and Calcanis both decided to embrace the Postie Way and become posties themselves? Just having Scoble agree to be the keynote speaker at Postie Con helps reduce the negative stigma around “pay per post”. Nah, Scoble is too busy being Scoble (and getting ready to be a dad again) and Calcanis is too busy being, well you know… So that can’t be it.
So what besides Scoble and Calcanis bring in traffic? Blogging about sex always brings in traffic! Maybe PPP is going to start a spin-off porn site? Nah.
The PPP offices are in Orlando, home of Mickey Mouse himself, so maybe they are hooking up with Lord Disney to take over the blogosphere? Possible, very possible.
Digg, if you get a post on digg then you definitely increase traffic. Is PPP buying DIGG? hahaha, that would be amusing, wouldn’t it?
Cute baby animal photos included with every PPP blog entry? That would bring in traffic. Or what if every Postie was required to share a secret, (a la Post Secret), that would totally rake in the viewers (I better start a list of secrets I can spill so I’m ready!)
Politics can bring page views if you get someone like Coulter spouting off. Or maybe PPP is teaming up with the ladies on The View? Or Oprah! Yeaaaaa it’s Oprah! Oprah is going to become a Postie! That’s what the big announcement is going to be.
Oprah is going to be a Postie! Spread the word!

Pink ribbons, who needs ‘em?
Not me, that’s for sure. And not Jacqueline either! Spend some time at Rebel1in8 and if you ever come across any other anti-pink ribbon sites or campaigns, could you drop me a line or leave me a comment and let me know.

Time to vote!
Remember when I sent you over to the Bloggies to nominate your favorite blogs? You did that, right? Now it’s time to vote for the nominees! 7th Annual Weblog Awards aka The Bloggies! Who will win this year? (And aren’t you tired of seeing some of the same ole blogs in there? Could we do a better job next year of nominating? I mean really, people. There are millions of blogs out there, some are really very good. We don’t have to nominate the same ones over and over! OK, go vote!

Moving to Tampa
How brilliant! I’ve been trying to convince my oldest daughter to leave Charleston and move to Gainesville. Duh, I should convince her to move to Tampa instead! She has a friend in Tampa. It’s a much bigger place than Gainesville, which she likes. Luckily, there is a Tampa Real Estate Agent blogging. I think all real estate agents should be bloggers.
I like the section where he describes each of the Tampa areas. This could actually be helpful to Michelle if she chooses a college in the Tampa area, too. The photos and descriptions of the homes are good but having this page RSS fed and set up through Feedblitz so others could get email notifications when that page is updated would be the only improvement I would make.
The contact info is clear. The resources page is helpful. Categorizing properties by “homes”, “luxury homes” “condos” and “townhomes” is excellent. This makes it much easier to surf if you’re looking for something really specific. This Townhouse is fantastic. I think I’m going to send it to Jenn now and ask her to think about it!

Nuns, Sex and Slugs
How often do you find a blog that contains all three of those things? Almost never! Which is what makes Grace-Full Thoughts so fabulous. OK fine, it’s other stuff too. I’m so glad Sister Catherine Grace started blogging again. Nuns, sex and slugs = awesome!

Your muse
Who is your muse? Is it even possible to choose one? I don’t think so and it seems she who flies might agree. Sprinkled all through her blog, you’ll find slide shows dedicated to women. Anais Nin, Mary Magdalene, Kate Bush… surf away. Muse away.

Hula Girlies
Why send a boring old e-card when you can send a Hula card? Wouldn’t it be awesome if you could TYPE your message in rather than selecting those words and phrases?
Speaking of hula and Hawaii, go visit my friend skeeter. She lives in Hawaii and posts a lot of great stories and photos about living there.

Don’t forget to Blog for Choice on the 22nd. And, if you are so inclined, you can Blog for Hillary. If you are really bored, you might think about videotaping your obituary, Art Buchwald was cool.

Postie Carnival
Here’s another “why didn’t I think of that” moment. A Postie Carnival! As in a blog carnival for active pay per post members! Check out the current carnival: worthy causes & charities.
If you’re a postie, you should submit your own blog for the next carnival.
