Or is it? I saw a message on a blog a couple of days ago that said “so tomorrow we’ll all be our charting…” which led me to believe Our Chart would be live. So I went and looked and it looked the same way it always did - with a link to add your email addy for notification of live launch. About two hours later, I got a note saying it was live - I went back and looked, huh? It looked the same. I figured it was my cache or something. I cleared it and went back, nowhere to log in or sign up. I gave up and went back to work.
A few minutes later, I got another email saying they were being cautious and I had to click a link to activate my account. I clicked it and was taken to another page telling me that in a minute I’d get another email verifying my account. Huh? How many do they need to send to verify?
All in all, I got 8 emails from Our Chart yesterday and I honestly don’t know if my account is live or not. After all of that back and forth, I got sick of hearing from them.
I do not understand the issue. Do lesbians need to jump through so many hoops just to join a social network for dykes? I don’t think so and I certainly hope Our Chart figures that out quickly or they are never going to get off the ground, L word or no L word behind them. There are half dozen social networks for queers launching this year (just that I know of) - I bet none of them are as difficult to get started on as Our Chart has been.
