I’ve just ordered the first Christmas gift of the year. Finger Beats are going to be a hit in a couple of stockings. Shhhh don’t tell anyone!

Peeps!
I love Peeps. Well I love the idea of them and their oddness. I’ve even become a fan of their unusual colors and shapes and I don’t mind so much that they no longer just appear at Easter. Well ok I lied, I don’t like that. They should only be available at Easter. But if I think about that too much, I will start to rant. So, back to “I love Peeps,” ok?
The real reason I love peeps is because people do cool things with them. The latest cool thing I have seen is Peeps at the Library. I love libraries!
Have Peeps gone to space? Does anyone know? I mean REALLY gone to space, like in a shuttle with an astronaut (preferably not a deranged female astronaut but whatever…)

Better than Sudoku
Ya know I bought my mom Sudoku toilet paper for Christmas right? (Well I did, but it didn’t arrive til after Christmas so I’m going to send it to her for Mother’s Day. Nothing says “thank you mom” better than toilet paper, in my personal opinion.) Anyway, this tp is even better! I’m working on special tp for everyone on my Christmas list! I think my ex-in laws would love some TP with a photo that my son took of his grandfather holding a fish about 20 years ago. (They live on a lake and have a bathroom decorated completely with fish!)
This is fun!

Contest: Worst Gift Ever!
My friend Anne-Marie at Readable Feast is having a contest at her personal blog. It’s a contest almost everyone can probably enter. Some of us with multiple entries, I’m sure. She’s having a Worst Christmas Present Contest.
Upon reading Anne-Marie’s post, I’m not sure I can beat her husband’s gift, can you?

No Batteries Required
This was the weirdest Christmas in the history of Christmas. No batteries were required. None. That has never happened to me. And it certainly hasn’t happened since I’ve had six kids. I’m almost feeling like we didn’t do Christmas right because there were no batteries required. Weird. Twilight Zone weird.

Everyone loves to color
OK so not everyone loves to color but I think even people who don’t love to color would love to color themselves - or their favorite kids - or even their favorite pets. Right? If you could gift someone with a coloring book full of coloring pages of people they know, that would be a very popular gift, wouldn’t it? Well what are you waiting for? Thank me later, just get busy creating your coloring book in time for Christmas.

Front Porch Classics
My sister sent “Shut the Box” to one of the children for Christmas. It’s a great game and everyone can play it. I’d like to recommend Front Porch Classics. The quality of the construction and design is excellent.
Shut the Box, for instance, is a fantastic wooden box. Rustic looking and smells like old wood and varnish. It’s a fantastic presentation compared to other versions of the game. Granted, it costs twice as much, but in this case I think it’s worth it.

DealKing
Life is weird. About a half hour ago I was looking for a promotional code for a certain website and a search sent me to DealKing. They didn’t have the code but I found myself wandering around anyway. It was the “hot offers” section on the right nav of DealKing.com that caught my eye. I don’t need a cell phone but if I did, it seems like these cash back offers from DealKing would fit the bill. Then, I went off to PPP to see if there were any new blog opportunities and the DealKing opp caught my eye so back I went - there’s a tiny mp3 player that would be excellent, $10 shipped plus cash back from DealKing. The Digital Picture Frame is priced well, and also there’s the whole cash back thing. Hmmm maybe I’m not finished with my Christmas shopping after all.

Send a Christmas Game
Several years ago, my mom sent me a subscription to BlueMountain and she keeps renewing the subscription. It has definitely come in handy. Don’t worry, even if you don’t have a subscription you can send free e-cards that are also Christmas online games! (FYI, a subscription is $13.95 and they do offer a free trial period if you’re interested.)
I played Mistletoe Tag and need some practice. The Scrooge looks an awful lot like the angel, who I obviously was dying to kiss. Oops. The Greet Santa game is too easy on Level One, no bears or penguins even appear so choose a different level. Catch a Snowflake was amusing, watching the kid swallow the snowflake - weirdly amusing.
I think this is really what I like best about BlueMountain, their game eCards are well done and there are a lot to choose from.

Truffle Snuffle!
Why didn’t I see the Truffle Snuffle game a month ago? Now, it’s too late! Too late because I’m finished shopping and games have already been purchased for everyone. I wonder if I could give it to my mom’s partner. Heh. What do you think a problem card is like for a pig?
